SUBMITTING ART :

E-MAIL
Please send art to art@bebco.com. Please include the following in your email message: contact, phone number, company name, purchase order number, and the names of the application(s) in which your art files were created. When using email, it is usually best if your art files are compressed into a single archive file using Stuffit on the Mac or WinZip on Windows. Both programs can be obtained at www.download.com. Our email system has no attached file size restriction however your email system may have this restriction. If your email is returned to you as "undeliverable", please check with your systems administrator or email provider. If it turns out that your email system does have this restriction, you may want to consider FTP or DISK as the means of getting us your art.  We recommend faxing a copy of the art or including a PDF file to compare to your submitted art as we are not responsible for conversion errors.

FTP
You may upload your art to our FTP site at: ftp://ftp.bebco.com (user id: anonymous, password: ). We recommend placing all files pertaining to your order in a single folder and creating an archive of the folder using either Stuffit on the Mac or WinZip on Windows and then uploading the archive. Both archiving programs can be obtained at www.download.com. Be sure to fax a copy of the art or including a PDF file to compare to your submitted art as we are not responsible for conversion errors.

DISK
We accept a variety of disk types.  If you are unsure about a particular disk type please call Customer Service.  Be sure to include a printout of all the file names and either a hard copy of the art or a PDF file along with your disk to compare to your submitted art, as we are not responsible for conversion errors.

Black & White or Color Photo Prints/Slides - Contact factory for a price quote.
B&W or color photo prints/slides must either be 100% to size or provide us with written instructions on the scale percent at which you would like your art printed.  We do not recommend using hard copy art or negatives that contain screens (pre-screened art).  If used, please note that exact reproduction of pre-screened art is not possible so your printed job will not match the original art.

Digital Artwork Guidelines - All art submitted will be charged a flat-rate of $250.
To avoid this charge, you can submit your art compliant with the following guidelines:

VECTOR ART
Vector art is resolution independent, meaning it can be enlarged without reducing image quality.  This is the preferred format for all artwork.  Encapsulated Postscript (EPS) or PDF files generated using Illustrator, FreeHand, Quark, InDesign, or Acrobat are accepted.   All type should be converted to outlines to avoid potential font problems.

RASTER ART
Raster art is resolution dependent, meaning it can't be enlarged without reducing the image quality.   To insure optimal print quality, TIFFs created using Photoshop should be created 100% to final print size using the following dpi guidelines:  CMYK TIFFs should be 300dpi, GrayScale TIFFs should be at least 600dpi, and Bitmap TIFFs should be at least 1200dpi.

TYPESETTING/TYPE CORRECTIONS - Contact factory for a price quote.
We may be able to add or change text on your order.  We have the entire Adobe type library available for font selection.  Please specify typeface, style, and size wanted and include a typed version of the text via email or fax when submitting your order.  Because of the intrinsic nature of fonts, an exact typeface match cannot be guaranteed.  We will typeset your copy using the closest available font at our discretion.

LAYOUT
Your art should be submitted preset in the layout format you intend for printing your order.  To assist you in creating your art layout properly, you may download an artwork template of the item you will be ordering at www.bebco.com.  Accepted layout formats are Illustrator, FreeHand, Quark, and InDesign.  We cannot accept artwork created by any Microsoft or Corel product, as they are not capable of producing art files of a quality necessary for imprinting purposes.

For imprints that bleed (extend to the extreme edge of the final product), art should extend  1/8" beyond the final trim size.  For imprints that do not bleed, artwork should be kept 1/8" inside the final trim size.  All type should be converted to outlines to avoid potential font problems.  For programs that do not support this feature, we will need all screen and printer fonts to be included with submitted art.

COLOR
All art files must be created as either grayscale, CMYK, or spot color.  Please do not embed ICC color profiles, as they will be discarded when we print your order.  For spot colors Pantone color names should be specified; exact matches cannot be guaranteed.  For all orders printing CMYK, we recommend supplying us with an accurate color printout of what you would like your product to look like.  If you do not have a color print, we recommend ordering a color laser proof.  Without an approved color target or production proof, an order cannot be rejected if the product color does not match your expectations.  When color matching is critical, always order an actual production proof.
